Training of Trainer (ToT) for Students Facilitator Groups (SFG) started
Demanding united Efforts to Educational Institutions become Actor to Social change


United efforts by the students, teachers and guardians to ensure main actors of the educational intuitions can play important role to social change and develop violence free just society. If the students become aware about the negative impact of violence against women, early marriage, eve teasing, dowry and benefits of women equal participation as extra curriculum part of their study, they can easily disseminate the issues with their friends and make positive changes towards the society. Besides the leanings will be aslo helpful to develop their leadership and will enrich their personal and professional life in future. These were satyed at the inagural session of the 3-days training course on training of trainers (TOT) organized for student’s facilitator groups by Chittagong Social Development Forum (CSDF) with the help of steps Dhaka at CSDF Auditorium Chandgaon Chittagong on last 8 February 2010

Mr. S M Nazer Hossain Chairperson CSDF was presided over the inagural session amongst others Quazi Iqbal Bahar Sabery Vice-Chair Person CSDF, Afsar Khan President District Social Entrepreneur council, Nazmul Ahasan from steps, Jahirul Islam from LTG member, Shampa K Nahar Sr. Project officer CSDF also take the discussion on the occasion.

The speakers urge to come forward the women folk and protest the gender injustice and violence who are main victims. The role of the students also more important, because they will lead the nation and they play main role to organizes women folk and disseminate the information. They also suggested students have acquiring the knowledge along with their regular curriculum and contributing to develop violence free society. If we succeed no Simi, Rumi, Pinky will suicide by the reason of eve teasing and all will have to live in safe ways.

This is mentioned that CSDF has implementing a campaign on women political empowerment and violence against women at six Upazilas at Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar district. It has developed student’s volunteers groups (SVG) with the secondary level students from 60 schools. The Students Facilitator Groups (SFG) will act as trainer to take lead to develop the students volunteers activities and campaign programs. This is first batch and it provides ToT for 30 SFG members as the part of capacity development support. The SFGs are from ISDE Bangladesh, CRCD, Banaful, PARC, EELMA, Aloran, Nowjoan, PPS etc
