UNCRC Workshop for Journalist held at Chittagong
United Efforts of Law Enforcing agencies, Media and NGOs to Ensure UNCRC at Family Level
UNCRC was adopted long years ago, but till now CRC is violating at street, family, society, and child and women tortured, VAW etc were happening anywhere at al level. Discrimination between girl children and boys in education, health care services, recreation and freedom of choice and nobilities are still exists in our society and culture. There is right figures how many children are victimize to engaged in domestic works at households and how many children are engaged in hazardous child labour in many working places and finally they going to dark and with out any future dream. Besides so many young and teenage girls children forces to suicide by the causes of eve teasing by the a few culprits. The Government has set up Ministry of Women and Children Affairs who take action to stop these types of violations and set up Women and Children Special tribunal Act for women and children at district level although the figure is not reducing and it is not stopped and it is increasing day by days. There is no social protection to ensure CRC, so violence on CRC violation is moving to high day by day. To stop these types of serious evil from society, there is need to create a united efforts by the law enforcing agencies, journalist and NGOs to implementation of CRC at family to society, otherwise society will be darkness. These was stated at the orientation on “UNCRC and Children Participation for journalist” was organized by Integrated Social Development Effort (ISDE) Bangladesh with the help of Bangladesh Shisu Audhikar Forum (BSAF) and TDH Netherlands on last 13-14 March 2010 at CSDF hall Chittagong.

Mr. S M Nazer Hossain Executive Director ISDE Bangladesh was presided over the closing session while Deputy Police Commissioner (North) Mr. Banaj Kumar Majumdar was Chief Guest. Mr. Afasr Khan, President District Social Entrepreneur, Ex Board member of BSAF & ASHOKA USA fellow Mr. Quazi Iqbal Bahar Sabery was special guest. Ms. Rasheda Akhter, Nargis Akhater Trainer Ain O Salish Kendra, Mr. Manjur Ahmed, BSAF, Journalist Abu Mosharaf Rasel, Maojammel Hoque Chy, Ismat Marjida khan, Kutub Uddin, Alagir Sabuj, Maksud Ahmed, Azad Moinuddin, Shama K Nahar, PO, CSDF, Subrata K Bala CAB Divisional Programme officer, Md Jahngir Alam, PC, ISDE Bangladesh were took part the closing session. The orientation was facilitated by the Ms. Rasheda Akhter, Nargis Akhater Trainer Ain O Salish Kendra, Dhaka.

The speakers give emphasis to ensure social responsibilities to present any news of CRC violation. Some news man take news as their tool to business and requested to serves as member of the society who will stand with the victims. News always is supportive for victims not to demoralize. They also suggested keeping eyes open to protect the rights of victims. They also say some times the news presenter changes the actual facts to presenting of any female victims as a result the victims can not benefited from the news and culprits become release by the news. So they requested journalist to present positive sign and good example which learning for all. One news and views can changes a life survive or dies
